We envision a world in which the biological, societal, and economic barriers to human potential are lifted through philanthropic giving, strategic investment, and the scientists and thinkers who are willing to reimagine what is possible.
Human progress has always been constrained by two ancient and stubborn forces: poor health and economic disparity. These are not separate problems — they are deeply intertwined, and they compound across generations. Critical Mass Ventures addresses both through philanthropic giving and strategic investment, with a particular interest in funding novel, creative, and multidisciplinary ideas. We back the thinkers and builders who are willing to reimagine what is possible.
The biological determinants of the aging process remain incompletely understood and have led to an unacceptable gap between human lifespan and healthspan. We provide grants and work with bold and creative scientists and thinkers to close this gap.
Financial systems hold enormous power to transform lives, yet too many people are locked out of them, trapped in a cycle that's difficult to escape alone. We work to deeply understand this challenge and fund the solutions that will break that cycle and open the door to lasting economic opportunity.
A fellowship for late-stage postdoctoral fellows with entrepreneurial vision. 3–4 awards of $100,000. Deadline: July 1, 2026.
We welcome inquiries from scientists, philanthropists, and builders who share our commitment to expanding healthspan and dismantling economic barriers.
